About CorValu Photography

Led by Steven Havers, a well-established photographer, CorValu Photography celebrates
great workplace cultures, great teams and great people using expert photography services.

With his own lived experiences of disabled family members and corporate environments,
Steven has worked for corporates who were not people friendly.

He also found that many
businesses have an old-fashioned view on people management and can be difficult places
to work.

This became the inspiration to specialise in workplace culture photography.

Meet Steven Havers, photographer.

“Hello, I’m Steven Havers, and I believe that when people work hard and do well, they need recognition and reward.

I previously worked for two companies who were ahead of their time because their managers understood people, and I thoroughly enjoyed working for them.

Back then the term ‘employee recognition’ hadn't even been invented!

In the late 1970s, my Grandma had half of her left leg amputated, just below the knee. She used walking sticks in the house and a wheelchair when outside. I grew up pushing her in her chair and very quickly realised just how inaccessible places were for less mobile people.

These memories have always stayed with me.

In 2024 I went to the Paralympic games in Paris with my friend who uses a wheel chair. Now I know why Paris is called the least accessible city!

I started CorValu Photography because I believe people of all abilities need to be employed, recognised and celebrated.

I am married to the amazing Claire, and we have three teenage kids.

Two are at university studying for their degrees.

My youngest daughter is an archer who competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics and was the highest placed British archer at just 16 years old.

I love dogs and have three rescues; two German Shepherds and one Belgian Malinois.

Although I’m not a fan of any particular club, I love watching Rugby Union. I enjoy watching the skills and creativity that is becoming an increasingly large part of the game.

I love what I do and if I didn’t I would go and do something else – it’s as simple as that.

Because you can only excel at something you love.”

My values

Get to Know Me.

Who are you?

What do you stand for?

A very strong sense of right and wrong and being able to speak up for both.

Honesty is key, authenticity is key for me, it took a long time to be happy with me, to be at ease and to accept I am enough and I can build the life I want.

Fairness, how you are treated by people and how people treat you, acceptance of people for who they are. This has never been a problem for me, I just don't get why others not only see difference but use it.

Work hard, nothing is handed out on a plate, resilience because you have to work hard for what you want and you can't do it alone.

Realising what you can and can't control, realising the difference and living according to my values.

These are some of the reasons, when I rebranded I chose CorValu as the name of my photography business, because my core values are who I am.

I find it difficult to work with people with different values than mine, so I choose not to, I don't need the stress that kind of compromise creates in me, I need work, of course I do, but not just any work.

Patience is mine, and I imagine lots of other peoples weakness, I am learning to be more patient, but it is a challenge every day.

I just want to be photographing people enjoying their work and colleagues, because then you are not at work, you are feeling fulfilled, valued, productive and seen, part of a team.

Loyalty is huge for me, words are very important to me, I have a very good memory, if you promise me something and then don't deliver, I will forgive you, I will not forget and you then rank lower on the trust table.

For me, actions are what matter, not just words, I live by this, I raised my three amazing kids with this because, for me, this is the real measure of people. It is about their word, their honour, their principles, their definition of self worth.

Let's talk!
