Are you human or a legal machine?
I am working with more and more lawyers who are seeing a greater take up in their legal services as they show a more human and approachable side to their professional marketing.
There is, and always has been consolidation and as firms grow larger, it can be easy to get lost in the corporate identity.
I know a photographer who was recently asked to photograph 120 people and they all had to look the same, same pose, same slight smile and same background because that was their corporate identity.
Nothing wrong with that, if you want to truly connect with your clients and new clients off the back of that, people need to find you relatable, not a corporate clone.
Yes, you need to be good at your job, and well versed in your speciality but you can also be a Mum, a Dad to humans or pets, you can be a golf nut or a baker, your clients and your prospects need to know this because it makes you relatable to them, common interests are super conversation starters!
I love photography, as a job and as a hobby, but I am also a husband to a super legal secretary, a Dad to an Olympian, a sports psychologist and a cyber security expert, I have three rescue dogs and I love aircraft and aviation.
what else do you need to know to give us a talking point? See what I mean?
